Los Angeles Engagement Photos | Noguchi Garden Engagement Session

Griffith Observatory And Noguchi Garden Engagement.jpg

After several attempts for the most proper schedule for shooting their engagement, we said: let’s just go for it! We love mornings, and NEVER get the chance to shoot at sunrise. This time we did. Got way up early in desperate need of caffeine, and headed up north to our first stop: The Griffith Observatory. Sunrise was SOMETHING ELSE, and when this love duo got there as well we were in for such a treat! They craved for some city vibes (as former New Yorkers), and this place took our breaths away with the beautiful architecture and rad views — oh yas, they totally nailed it!

Drove our way back south to Costa Mesa, and wrapped the session up in Noguchi Garden. We will never ever forget that impulsive climb to the top of the pyramid sculpture — we laughed SO hard we could barely take any photos (and also laughing as we’re writing this!). That was such an epic moment. Agh, love these two, and we’re anxiously waiting to dance and do more hip-hop poses on their wedding day!

San Miguel de Allende is always a good idea. It is adventure, because you never know what you might discover right in the next corner to obsess about. It might be a little shop while having a walk through its cobblestone streets, or maybe the sunset while having a cocktail at an incredible rooftop. It surprises you. It blows your mind from so many details and colors. It’s almost perfect. It’s warm, creative and welcoming. It’s constrasting with humbleness and luxury, boldness and simplicity, colonial and contemporary.

This was the stage for Kristeen and Caspar’s fantastic wedding! They had guests from all over the world to experience the streets in San Miguel, and blend in at the amazing Hacienda Rioyos. It was so fun to see such personalities, and how they brought so much style to this english garden meets vintage mexican wedding.

Cheers to this wonderful celebration!

We are the sum of our parents; of every game we played when childs, of all the things that have made us cry, of every book we read, every place we wander, every song we listen to; we are the sum of all the little details, and the details we keep discovering. We keep evolving; moving like water. We are our thoughts. Our words. Our connection with people. We are made of infinite possibilities. We are a perfect design of struggles and triumphs. Of expectation when there is nothing to expect. Of judgement when there is nothing to say. But amongst all, we are made of love. Real, honest and caring love. A love that grows tear by tear, laugh by laugh, healing what we can’t yet understand. A love that is beyond us. A love that holds you when you’re ripped apart. That finds balance in chaos. An inexhaustible love of surrender and acceptance to our own journey.

SAMERA+DAVID

Hotel San Cristobal Wedding Todos Santos

This was the first time we stepped into Hotel San Cristobal. As many of you may know- yes, we love white, and bright and clean and architectural, so this was pretty much a wedding heaven to us. Samera+David received us with the warmest hugs. These two could light up a sky with their smiles. They seemed gorgeous and sweet with all of their happiness. They seemed so authentic, we immediately knew this was going to be a weekend that would stay forever with us. When we asked David by the pineapple field how the two of them met, he only answered: "music".

A fascinating chorus rehearsed the night before framed the entrance. Vows were exchanged within a persian-mexican ceremony. You could feel the energy in the chapel. You could see emotional faces on everyone. You could hear the most beautiful lines by the officiants- Samera+David are so loved, and they love each other as authentically as they are.

They surprised their family and friends by having a special reception at the Cannery, but of course, leading the way with music. Talented people all over, bohemian vibes and unexpected honey-licking songs- you could breathe and connect with people through music on this day.

Bruma Session Valle de Guadalupe

This place in beautiful Valle de Guadalupe, where every single room is a little oasis of nature + love! Bruma is one of our favorite places EVER, and shooting Madi + Devin there was such a dream. The earthy tones, modern feels in each detail and golden light brought us so much joy on that day — lots of fun vibes wandering around with this sweet couple!

Playa del Carmen Wedding Riviera Maya

This was such a fun crew in Riviera Maya! We literally toured ALL around this amazing resort and had so much fun shooting this gorgeous couple over some pretty rad spots. It was so bright, modern and beautiful, we just couldn’t stop getting inpired by it. From vows exchanged right on the beach in a very intimate ceremony, to having cocktails in a terrace during sunset with a spectular view and a little rain, this wedding was all about fun + sexy vibes. There couldn’t be a more perfect way to wrap this day up, than a big jump into the pool that we were so lucky to shoot before the security guard got there.

On the next day we did a special “just married” session that we will be blogging as well — keep tuned!

MARIANA+BLAKE

Casa Mis Amores Wedding Sayulita Mexico

Gorgeous, creative & so talented- these two managed to throw a stunning celebration in the beautiful beach of Casa Mis Amores all the way from LA. This colorful villa in the middle of the jungle with the most perfect sunset just a few minutes away from Sayulita’s Downtown, was a heart-melting backdrop for Mariana+Blake’s wedding. The weekend was so full of love, so much fun and so much inspiration. People from all over visit Sayulita to connect with nature & art, and this wedding was all about that. So deeply grateful that we got to share this experience and celebrate with these two amazing human beings.

These photos are dedicated in the memory of Víctor de la Cueva, who we know would’ve loved to be there. He will always be a huge inspiration to us. His art and hard work are reminders that all dreams are possible and that we need to celebrate life and love -always-.

MARIANA+JOSH

Old Towne Wedding Orange County

We always had the idea that some of the most beautiful weddings happened in Orange County. There’s just something effortless and sweet about them that we strongly feel drawn to.

Mariana+Josh sure know their way around Old Town! You know how every couple has a list of places that sort of become part of their story? Well, they used to hang out in the streets of Old Town. Orange County is like their home and everything about this wedding just made perfect sense. She’s from Puerto Rico with her family flying all the way through and he’s a pro skateboarder with some serious traveling history, so you can get the picture of all the mix, authenticity and amount of love on this day. “It’s going to get interesting”, she kept saying before the wedding.

A perfect green arch backdrop ceremony surrounded by historic buildings, a super sweet session, intense dancing and tacos—oh we got ALL the feels for this one, and are just so happy to have been part of it!
Hope you can also feel the fun vibes scrolling through :).

MADISON+JEFF

Torrey Pines Engagement San Diego

Did a lot of hiking on this beautiful session day, but it was so worth it with a super sunny + bright blue sky.

A cliff was one of Madison’s dream spots to get married at, so she figured out the perfect plan: a summer engagement session on a cliff in California + a wedding in San José del Cabo, México coming soon that we cannot wait to shoot!

”Totally. We’re not doing cheesy”. Couple of spins, lifts and a piggy back ride later Jeff says, “I thought we were not doing cheesy”. You see, cheesy is not for everyone and when actual fun people apply it authentically, it sort of transitions into a whole new level of radness. Madison+Jeff are such a bomb of fun + love!!! We are madly in love about this day and how these photos came out. Needless to say — San José del Cabo: here we go!!!

KATHRYN+NEVIN

Esperanza Resort Wedding Los Cabos Baja

From fun golf cart rides, beautiful greenery everywhere to intimate vows, a shiny sunset and a wood fire by the beach- this elopement was a yes yes all the way! They had their ceremony happening at the most perfect spot- a pool blending into the ocean. The table setting right in between the pool and the beach was a complete dream, so with just a party of seven (and the most cute flower girls you’ve ever seen!), this runaway couple had all the magic going on.

Make sure you stick till the very end, as they had some rad fireworks lightning the sky!
